4 Hair Growth Techniques

Hair growth takes time, and waiting for it can be torturous. To lessen the pain of waiting, here are four hair growth techniques for ensuring that your crowning glory grows as fast and healthy as it should:

1. Watch that Diet.

Undernourishment is a no-no if you would like to skip the bad hair days. Eating a balanced diet is very important to grow that healthy hair quickly.

Load up on lots of fruits and vegetables, whole grains and dairy products. Leave the fatty and sugary food behind or at least limit its use. Supplements rich in Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Zinc and beta-carotene can also go a long way. All of these nutrients, combined with a healthy diet, will definitely boost the health and growth of hair.

2. Exercise!

Physical activity aids blood circulation in the body, which is beneficial for our scalp. It has been proven that good blood circulation translates to more nutrients and oxygen that stimulates hair growth.

The American Heart Association (AMA) recommends getting a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise at least five days per week.

Through exercise, you not only get to have a sound body and mind, you’ll also get optimal hair growth.

3. Maintain that Hairstyle.

Although you wish to let your hair grow, a little trim every now and then may actually help your hair grow longer.

How? These regular trims helps in preventing split ends that cause damage to your hair. Ideally, hair should be trimmed at least half an inch every two to three months.

4. Natural Hair Growth Remedies.

If you really cannot wait any longer, there are some natural hair growth remedies that you can try. Things such as almond oil, coconut oil, and aloe vera are all universally accepted ingredients that encourage faster hair growth. Massage any of them into the scalp, and according to herbalists, they will help the hair to grow.

Tonics made from stinging nettle, rosemary or sage work the same way too. Note however that these methods have no scientific proof and typically requires daily use. Results will also take at least a month to show.

So aside from the basics of getting enough sleep, drinking plenty of liquids (water is still the best) and giving your scalp gentle massages (especially when you are washing your hair), make use of these hair growth techniques to get that fast growing healthy hair!
